Portrait Sessions
Portrait Sessions can be done for a variety of subjects/themes including Families, Maternity, Seniors and Pets. These sessions can be held outdoors, in-studio, or a combination of both depending on your needs.
Full
$450
A Full Session is $450 and includes 20 edited high-resolution images and reproduction rights. I provide 60 minutes of shooting time.
Abbreviated
$275
An Abbreviated Session is $275 and includes 10 edited high-resolution images and reproduction rights. I provide 30 minutes of shooting time.
Mini
$165
A few times throughout the year, I offer back-to-back mini-sessions at pre-determined dates and locations. These sessions are $165 and include 5 edited high-resolution images and reproduction rights. I provide 15 minutes of shooting time.
Newborn
All newborn sessions include use of my props/backdrops/wraps/etc. I have a changing table and wipes in the studio for your convenience. You are also welcome to nurse or pump should you need.
Newborn sessions do not come with a set time limit as babies require flexibility on my end, which I am happy to provide. I recommend blocking off 3 hours for a Full Session or 1.5 hours for an Abbreviated Session.
Full Newborn

I block off 3 hours to ensure we have the flexibility to work around each baby's needs.
Abbreviated Newborn

An abbreviated newborn session is $350 and includes 10 edited high-resolution images and reproduction rights.
I block off 90 minutes to ensure we have the flexibility to work around each baby's needs.
FAQ
What is the best time of day for photos?
For outdoor sessions, I work in the early morning or late afternoon/evening to capture the best possible light and reduce glare and squinting. We want the sun to be low in the sky when its light is most flattering!
Indoor sessions in my studio are more flexible, though I recommend morning or early afternoon to maximize the natural light available. I will provide alternate light sources to fill in shadows.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am in Laytonsville, Maryland and regularly travel to Washington, DC and Northern Virginia for photo sessions. I am open to traveling outside this area upon request.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive a gallery of lightly edited proofs about a week after your session. From these proofs you will select the number of images included in your package (and you have the option to purchase more if desired.)
Once your selection is made it takes about 2 weeks for me to deliver your final images.
What should I wear to my photo session?
When considering what to wear, simple is best and you'll want to consider the temperature. I'd recommend avoiding anything with a busy pattern or writing. Even a basic striped shirt/dress can look psychedelic on-camera! You can dress casually or dress up as much as you'd like. I DO always suggest that clients dress up at least a little bit - after all, having photos taken is a special event!

Can I bring in my own ideas/props/pose requests?
Absolutely.
